Structure, Process, Performance, Application and Selection Points of Polyurethane+Ceramic Composite Lining Cyclone
Structure and Process
1. Composite form: The mainstream is to use ceramics as the inner wear-resistant layer (SiC or 95% Al ₂ O3), and polyurethane as the outer cushioning/wrapping/bonding layer; There are also ceramic blocks embedded in the polyurethane matrix; Ceramic thickness of 7-25mm, polyurethane layer for vibration and crack prevention, sealing, and easy installation
2. Common process: In mold integrated vulcanization/coating; High strength epoxy bonding+polyurethane backing; Integrated ceramic lining with polyurethane transition ring; Used for high wear areas such as feed chambers, vortex tubes, cone sections, and sand settling ports (Apex)
3. Material selection:
-Aluminum oxide ceramic (95% Al ₂ O ∝): High cost performance, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, suitable for medium to high strength slurry
-Silicon carbide SiC: higher hardness, good thermal conductivity, suitable for high abrasion, high concentration, and large particle working conditions
-Polyurethane: good elasticity, impact resistance, protects ceramics from cracking
Core performance comparison
-Wear resistance: The service life of composite lining is 3-6 times longer than that of pure polyurethane, and SiC is better than Al ₂ O3
-Impact resistance: Polyurethane backing significantly reduces the risk of ceramic impact cracking
-Stable flow field: The ceramic surface is smooth, with low resistance, and the grading efficiency is more stable than pure PU
-Disadvantages: The initial cost is higher than that of pure polyurethane; High installation accuracy requirements; Strictly prohibit overheating (ceramics have high temperature resistance, PU generally ≤ 80 ℃)
Typical application scenarios
Mining beneficiation (iron ore, gold ore, copper ore), coal washing, tailings treatment, sand and gravel grading, power plant desulfurization slurry cyclone; Especially in areas with high wear and tear such as sand settling ports and feeding zones, the effect is outstanding
Key points for installation and maintenance
1. Thoroughly clean the old lining, sandblasting the shell to ensure bonding strength
2. Strictly maintain according to the manufacturer's curing conditions; The composite lining adopts a "drop in" form for easier replacement
3. Avoid severe temperature differences and dry grinding; Regularly check the seams and wear amount
